England had a comfortable win over Malta in Group C of the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers in Germany on Matchday 3. Gareth Southgate's team had no problems and is on track to get the ticket to the prestigious European competition.

The highlight of the match was the performance of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who made his debut in the number 10 shirt with a well-crafted goal. Plus Harry Kane continues to add to his tally to pull away from everyone in the country's all-time goalscoring history.

But the media are still talking about what has happened to Jack Grealish. The Manchester City winger was totally over the top in the way he celebrated winning the UEFA Champions League and his actions were posted on social media.

Southgate did not let the situation go and there could be serious consequences from these actions. Although it was known that no City players would be playing in this match, the national coach has already given his harsh opinion on Grealish's excessive drinking.

What did Southgate say about Grealish?

Speaking at a press conference, Gareth Southgate reiterated that no Manchester City players would be involved in the game against Malta, but explained why he frowned on Jack Grealish's partying: “What's different is that everyone publicises everything. I wouldn't have liked some of my nights out to be seen publicly. My generation would have had a lot more problems”, he concluded.
