Manchester City won tonight against RB Leipzig from home and it serves to prove what was already known. The team is living a lack of consistency at the moment. With this result, the reigning UEFA Champions League champions are all but assured of a place in the next round. Without a doubt, Guardiola's team has shown they can’t be that decisive.

In view of this, the atmosphere from the Etihad Stadium was spectacular. Just as it was experienced at the weekend against Liverpool, there was no shortage of fans for this match. From the first minutes, City showed their hegemony with possession of the ball in favor. Nevertheless, this was only an illusion with Leipzig counter attacking and scoring two goals  at the first half courtesy of Lois Openda.

It is worth mentioning that City lost the lead of the Premier League after that draw against Jurgen Klopp's team. Now, today's game looked set to be the perfect scenario for City to regain the confidence they needed. Furthermore, the Citizens couldn't accomplish an easy win. Instead, they suffered but at the end, City came from behind with goals from Haaland, Foden and Julian Alvarez

What's next for Manchester City

With this result, City secured the win and continues to secure the top of the group and is practically qualified for the next round. As far as the Premier League is concerned, the team will face Tottenham this weekend in what points to be a great match.
