Tragedy had befallen Paris Saint-Germain. Sergio Rico had an accident that had changed his life forever and the whole world was in suspense about the health of the second goalkeeper in the Parisian goal. His teammates and friends had sent him their love and everyone hoped that he would be able to recover after falling into a coma and being in hospital for a month.

But this day, a miracle has come into his life. After the horse accident he had at the beginning of the French team's holidays, he had to be induced into a coma so that his brain could swell as soon as possible. And it has started to heal satisfactorily, so the doctors decided to take him out of the situation and start to see how he reacts without painkillers.

This has been confirmed by his wife Alba Silva, who has been by his side at all times and who has received the affection of his fans. The PSG board never thought of recalling him or looking for a special signing because of the accident. But they are still waiting to see what will happen to Rico in the coming months and the final diagnosis could dictate what will happen to his career.

The problems for the French side have piled up in recent weeks. As well as Rico's accident, they have also had to sort out the future of Kylian Mbappé, who has decided not to go ahead with a contract renewal for 2025 and would be free for Real Madrid to sign him the following summer, so the board would be willing to negotiate in this transfer window.

What will happen with Rico at PSG?

The Paris Saint-Germain board have decided that Sergio Rico will not be released from the squad until he recovers from his accident. They would not be looking for another goalkeeper either, as Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alexander Letellier can handle the situation while the Spaniard is out. No further details have been given, but they are not considering returning Keylor Navas, who has had an excellent season with Nottingham Forest.
