Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov surprised the media and the fans by making a shocking statement on the current level of football shown by the club’s striker Marcus Rashford, who has scored only three goals in 19 Premier League appearances with the Red Devils in this season.

Rashford, who signed a juicy contract extension with Manchester United until June 2028 after completing a sensational season with 30 goals scored in 56 games with the club, has strongly disappointed in the current season, and the legend Dimitar Berbatov, who played for the Mancunian team from 2008 to 2012 scoring 56 goals in 149 appearances with the institution, spoke out on Rashford’s lack of effectiveness this season.
In an interview for the British media, Berbatov suggested that Rashford might be overcomplicating his decision making on the pitch, and that would have made him struggle during the current season, as the Bulgarian idol tipped the Mancunian striker to just being focused on playing good football.

“I hope Marcus Rashford, who is mature enough in my opinion after playing for Manchester United for so long, knows how to get out of that cycle and produce last season’s form", said Berbatov, who show his great confidence in Rashford’s abilities to sort out of his bad moment with the Red Devils.
