Manchester United presented Mason Mount as his first signing ready for 2023-2024 in the last few hours. This first United’s arrival fits the elite profile Erik Ten Hag is asking for his team, as Mount comes as a symbol of the Chelsea youth academy and a key part for the Blues to win the Champions League in 2021.

The English international passed his medical tests at the Carrington facilities and he is ready to start this new challenge in his career. The player responds to the characteristics Ten Hag wants, versatility and quality on the pitch, being able to show great movements with and without the ball.

However, Mount's arrival won’t be the last signing for Manchester United in this summer transfer window. According to the English journalist Chris Wheeler from The Daily Mail, Erik Ten Hag has big plans for his squad, and Manchester United are having talks over Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, Randal Kolo Muani from Borussia Monchengladbach and Andre Onana from Inter Milan.

The negotiations for new players could be difficult for Manchester United

After Mount, Manchester United's potential second signing could be Andre Onana, who in the last few hours has been reported to be wishing to join Manchester United despite rumors which had linked the Cameroonian goalkeeper with a potential move to Al Nassar. Manchester United is willing to pay €40 million for the player while Inter Milan expects at least €50 million to complete the deal.

In addition, Erik Ten Hag could be also keen on signing a top level striker to play in the number 9 position, with Rasmus Hojlund and Kolo Muani as main targets. This last player could be far from United, as his team is asking at least €70 million for the player, who is also targeted by PSG. Meanwhile, a Hojlund transfer could be more likely. The player is valued at €50 million by Atalanta, and Manchester United, whose first €35 bid was already rejected, could be ready to increase his bid to get an agreement.
