An Arsenal legend’s son would be about to give his first steps in the senior football as he recently signed his first professional contract with Real Madrid, where he would evolve in the next few years trying to develop a sensational career and even overtaking the success gotten by his father, who was part of the Arsenal’s invincibles in the Premier League title the Gunners won at the 2003/2004 season.

The player in question is Jose Antonio Reyes junior, the son of the Arsenal star Jose Antonio Reyes, who played under Arsene Wenger management from 2000 to 2007. The 16-year-old, who has evolved at Real Madrid academy from 2019, has progressed through all the ranks to the Juvenil B squad, destined to players aged between 16 and 18 and in the last few hours signed his first professional contract with the Spanish team.

In this sense, it is worth mentioning that the teenager was one of the five Juvenil B players called up by the coach and former Liverpool ex defender Alvaro Arbeloa into the Juvenil A, which includes players aged between 17 and 19, after being part of the Spanish team that finished fourth at the European U-17 Championship in May after losing to France in the semi-finals.

The player would be willing to develop a great career with Real Madrid

The player, whose father was an Arsenal legend and died in a car crash aged 35 in 2019, expressed his happiness after signing his first professional contract with Real Madrid, and expects to develop a great career in the LaLiga giants. “It is a very special moment for me", Reyes said. “I have signed my first professional contract with Real Madrid and I want to thank the club for its trust and my family for its daily support. I will continue working and doing my best to go very far”, he revealed.
