Chelsea keeps on preparing for the next Premier League season under the management of Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine manager has as a goal in mind to make some advances in the signing of a defensive midfielder for the team, while he is trying to sell some discards in his squad who will not be part of his plans for the uncoming season, such as Romelu Lukaku and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

In this sense, Pochettino could be close to completing one of those sales, as the Gabonese striker could have a new destination out of the club, where he could be very appreciated, giving him the chance to reflote his career at an European giant who would be expecting to sign him in the next few days.

We talk about Olympique de Marseille, who could be very close to seal a deal for Aubameyang according to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. The French club is currently managed by the Spanish coach Marcelino Garcia Toral, who since his arrival to the institution asked for the Gabonese striker to lead his team’s forward line.

Aubameyang could leave Chelsea soon

Given their interest,  Olympique Marseille and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang would already have agreed personal terms for a two-year contract, and the French club would be very optimistic of getting the deal made by the next few days, as they don’t expect negotiations with Chelsea would be complicated, as the Blues would ask for €6 million for the player, according to the French media sources.
