After having completed a horrible season, Chelsea is trying to retake its old Premier League dominance by rebuilding the current team. With the Argentinian coach Mauricio Pochetino as their new manager, the Blues are trying to make cash to have money to invest in big signings, who can impact and make some significant changes on the team.

In this sense, the London club has already sold Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, while they are still unable to sell some players whom they don't count on.

This is the case of Romelu Lukaku, who arrived at the club in 2021 after Chelsea paid €113 million to Manchester United, and hasn’t been been able to score even 20 goals for the Blues. The Belgian 30-year-old player’s numbers, 15 goals and 3 assists in 59 games played with Chelsea, drive him to be one of the worst transfer Chelsea has ever made.

The player has become a great burden for the Blues

Lukaku was loaned to Inter Milan and this summer he is coming back to Chelsea, where apparently he has no room to stay. The London club has received several offers for the placer from Saudi Arabia but the Belgian player has refused to consider any alternative to coming back to Inter, which would mean negotiating new loan terms. He has already been loaned to them this season for 10 million euros, including bonuses, and all parties are pressing for a discount, which could be the final solution for Chelsea if anything else happens.
