Chelsea fans were as shocked as almost all fans in English football after a player who wasn’t be able to succeed at the Premier League offered himself to FC Barcelona, showing widely his loved by the Catalan team, who could be interested in signing him for next season in case of having enough funds to do it without disobeying the UEFA Fair Play Regulations which could get the negotiation frustrated.

We talk about the Portuguese striker Joao Felix, who played for Chelsea last season on a loan transfer from Atletico de Madrid. The player wasn’t able to convince the Blues to buy him after completing six inconsistent months with Chelsea, where he played 20 games and scored 4 goals, stats which didn’t correspond the expectations the Blues had on the player when he arrived at the winter transfer market window.

However, Joao Felix has come under the spotlight in the last few hours after making an interview with the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who asked him about his possible destinations for the next season and was surprised by Joao, as all the football fans. The 23-year-old player took the chance to express an unknown love by FC Barcelona, qualified by the player as the team where he dreams to play since he was a kid.

The player had been targeted by Manchester United

Joao disappointed not only the Chelsea fans, but also the Manchester United supporters. The Red Devils’ coach, Erik Ten Hag had been reported to be willing to sign Joao Felix for his team, and now nobody in English football couldn’t believe the declaration of love Joao made in Romano's interview. Meanwhile, FC Barcelona has been reported by the Spanish press to be interested in the Portuguese player, but at the moment they would need to solve their financial problems to make a move for Joao in the next few weeks.
