The manner in which Arsenal lost the Premier League in the last few rounds remains an open wound for many of their fans. They see with bitterness how Manchester City snatched the trophy from their hands and now they have a chance to be the best in Europe.

Mikel Arteta has accepted his guilt in several press conferences. He understands that the intensity in the final stretch was not enough and the players were not experienced enough to steady a ship that in the end sank because of their own mistakes.

Gunners historic players have not been silent. Some who are commentators on the major television networks have criticised the situation and, some, have been very pointed about how to apportion blame for Arsenal's failure.

Tony Adams, a former player at the club, has been vocal. Not only has he criticised the club's wasteful spending of almost 400 million euros to strengthen the club, but he feels the club will not be able to cope with Manchester City next season.

What is Adams asking of coach Arteta?

But the most salient thing about Tony Adams' words was that he suggested Arsenal sack Mikel Arteta for next season. While he doesn't want him to lose his job, the former Gunners captain says his departure could be the best thing for the club.
