The former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante surprised the media and the fans in the last free hours speaking out about his experience in the Saudi Pro League, where he is one of the best paid players after arriving this summer as a free agent to Al Ittihad, currently the fourth position of the league behind Al Hilal, Al Taawon and Al Nassr.

From his arrival, he has completed eleven games played for the Saudi side until the moment, scoring one goal and giving two assists with the Jedda-based club, where he would be really happy according to the words he expressed in a recent interview speaking about the level of the league, which has been criticized in the last few months.

In this sense, it is worth remembering that the despite the star power on offer, the attendances at the league games have remained at a paltry level, with some of the players reported to be hating every minute of the games played due to the poor standard of play shown by some of the players involved and their teammates.

The player said to be surprised by the standard of the league

Speaking about that, Kante revealed that he has been “pleasantly surprised” by the standard of the Saudi Pro League since he started his new adventure at Al Ittihad, where he joined Karim Benzema as the main player signed by the Jedda side at that moment. "For the names that went to Saudi Arabia, I wouldn't be surprised if the Saudi league is better than the French," he claimed, conscious that the league is still developing but has some of the best paid players in the planet to secure a high level in the tournament.
