Pep Guardiola surprised the media in a conversation with ESPN where he revealed the name of the best player he has ever coached, as the Spanish manager is very clear and has no doubts to name him despite having had some a real collection of stars to choose among the players whom he coached at FC Barcelona and FC Bayern and the sensational stars he currently manages at Manchester City.

We can’t forget the big success got this season with the Sky Blue team conquering the treble with Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, three trophies which he wouldn’t forget as he succeed in equalizing an old Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson's record in England with a team where sensational football players are constantly emerging.

However, as in many other occasions, Pep hasn’t had any doubt reiterating his belief that Leo Messi is the greatest player of all time, and the best player he had ever coached, ahead of the Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who has been able to finish this season signing 53 goals in all competitions, being considered as a ‘goal machine’.

According Pep, this player belongs to the Olympus of the greatest of all time

Guardiola coached Messi at Barcelona from 2008 to 2012 – a team widely considered the greatest of all time, winning three La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues in that four-year spell. Since then the coach has usually expressed his opinion about the Argentinian player.“Everyone has an opinion, but nobody can doubt that Leo Messi belongs to the Olympus of the greatest players of all time,”confessed Pep.
