The Saudi League is coming to Europe for another European legend. After having signed Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruben Neves, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibay, Edouard Mendy or Bobby Firmino, the Saudi Pro League could be close to a Liverpool legend who looks for a new challenge in his career, and the Saudi money could be a good reason to take it in Arabia.
According to a report by the Italian Journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Liverpool legend Divock Origi could be close to accepting an offer from the Saudi Pro League. Following the Tavolieri sources, the ex Liverpool player Steven Gerrard, who is new coach of Al Ettifaq, could have requested the Belgian player as a top target for the team, and the club’s owner could have prepared an offer to convince Origi, currently playing for AC Milan.
In this sense, it is worth remembering that Divock Origi was identified as a Liverpool legend by the Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp, and one year ago he left Anfield on a free transfer to sign for AC Milan, where he has barely been able to show his potential.
At this moment, Origi could be thinking about accepting the challenge and signing for the Gerrard’s new team, as Al-Ettifaq could already have contacted Origi and they could be trying to convince him of a move, while another Liverpool legend, who currently is still playing at the club, Jordan Henderson, could be also on the Gerrard’s list of top targets for Al-Ettifaq.
