Erik Ten Hag continues designing the best squad possible for his next season at Manchester United. The Dutchman understands he must give the next step in his project, after having qualified the team for the Champions League and have been able to lead the team to the top of the Premier League.

The main goal for Ten Hag next season will be that his team is able to be consistent enough in the Champions League, where he would like Manchester United to have a leading role, while in the Premier, the Red Devils must be ready to fight for the title. Those goals require big signings, and the Dutchman has already to work on it. After the arrival of Mason Mount, the Dutchman is keen on signing the goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan, while he is also trying to set his squad by letting go the players whom he doesn't count on next season.

In this sense, Erik Ten Hag has already said to want only elite players for his squad, so many players are ready to leave the club. One of these men is Mason Greenwood, who has been out of the squad for a long period as the club apparted him from all type of activity with the institution after Greenwood was accused of sexual assault by his couple.

The player must look for a new opportunity outside United

Despite appreciating the Greenwood potential as a player, Erik Ten Hag considers the player needs to retake his career in order to be sharp enough to form part of the Manchester United project. In that sense, Ten Hag has already asked the club to find a loan transfer for Mason Greenwood out of United, with the Italian team Atalanta as one of the main teams interested in the player.
