The search for new talent is also starting to be a race against time for the big clubs in Europe. Some of them have to move fast because when a talent house sees a player's potential, the contract has to be almost done so as not to lose him or have him stolen by other teams.
Real Madrid has been one of these clubs that has started to sign players at a very young age who will later become great stars with enough help. They know they can't take them from a young age and have to wait for progression in their own countries, but there will always be this so-called 'system of set-aside'.
Arsenal already have experience of doing this kind of thing. They have taken very young talent that they can then exploit to develop them into the best in Europe. Since the days of Arsene Wegner, the clinical eye of his transfers has been praised on the continent.
One of his homes was that of Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian was an unknown when he arrived as a teenager but attracted so much attention from the media and fans that coach Tité considered him to be part of Brazil's squad for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Ekrem Konur reports that 17-year-old Corinthians player Pedrinho is reportedly being acquired by Arsenal. The coaching staff headed by Mikel Arteta would let the attacking player stay at the South American club for a while and then take him to England to start his European adventure.
