Jürgen Klopp has already started to design his squad for the next season and rejuvenating the team’s midfield is one of the main targets. After not having had any possibility of signing Jude Bellingham, who was finally signed by Real Madrid; the German coach has turned his eyes to more affordable players for the club, and the institution has moved smartly and quickly in this summer transfer window.

At the moment, Klopp counts on the arrivals of Alexis McCallister from Brighton and Dominik Szobozslai from RB Leipzig in his squad. The two young players contribute to rejuvenate the team’s midfield and their quality and versatility could be extremely useful in the new Liverpool era which seems to have started.

However, there is some work to do yet, and Liverpool is preparing his next move in the transfer market. The Anfield team has already opened talks with Gabri Veiga from Celta de Vigo, Kephren Thuram from Nice and Romeo Lavia, from Southampton. This last player has been reported to seem to be the next Liverpool signing, with the Reds needing to pay £50.
In this sense, Liverpool could have big competence for Southampton, as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have also been reported to be willing to sign the Belgian player.

Liverpool could surprise everybody again in the next few hours

Despite Liverpool's interest in Romeo Lavia, the club and his coach Jürgen Klopp could surprise the football fans again in the next few hours with a quick unexpected move in the transfer market. According to the French press, Liverpool are very interested in Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone, and the club is reported to complete the move in the coming days.

A potential Manu Kone transfer could definitely affect the rest of the Liverpool transfer market. In this sense, with a potential Manu Kone arrival,  Liverpool could decide not to sign Lavia, Gabri Veiga or Thuram. Manu Kone would already arrive to fit a similar role to Fabinho’s in the team,  which added to the roles which McCallister and Szobozslai can perform, it would mean that Liverpool is close to completing a massive younger midfield for many years.
