Undoubtedly, we could talk about Luis Suarez as one of the key strikers in Liverpool’s history, having scored 82 goals in all competitions with the Reds, and being placed as the 15th on the list of Liverpool’s all time top scorers, ahead icons like Fernando Torres (81) or Stevie Heighway (71).

Meanwhile, we have to go in the list much lower on the list to find a man who was said to be able to be the Luis Suarez successor at Liverpool as he was chosen as the Red signing to replace the Uruguayan when Suarez signed for FC Barcelona in 2014.

We talk about Mario Balotelli, who can be also found on the list of Liverpool’s all time top scorers, but at the 179th position, with only 4 goals scored for the Reds. The Italian player was considered one of the great figures of Euro 2012 with Italy, but his actions off the field did not allow him to become the striker everyone expected among the football fans.

He is currently looking for a job

After Liverpool, Balotelli had acceptable performances playing for AC Milan, scoring 33 goals in 77 games, Nice (43 goals in 76 games), Olympique Marseille (8 goals in 15 games) and . Adana Demirspor from Turkey (19 goals in 35 games), decreasing progressively the level of his performances at Brescia, Monza or FC Sion, not having reached at least 10 goals in any season.

In fact, Mario Balotelli is currently 32 years old, and has recently ended his contract with FC Sion after having had problems with Swiss Football Association and with his Swiss club, relegated to the second division of the Swiss league. He is a free agent looking for a job and the expectations of being the new Luis Suarez, not only at Liverpool, but at any team have finally turned into a complete disappointment.
