The Portuguese manager surprised with an unexpected lineup

Manchester United and Chelsea former manager Jose Mourinho surprised the media and the fans by making a shocking revelation in the John Obi Mikel Podcast, as the Portuguese named his greatest ever XI and enraged the fans of the Red Devils, who would strongly disagree with the manager’s picks to compose his best lineup with the players he coached in his managerial career.

The Portuguese coach, who currently evolves at AS Rome, previously coached Chelsea in two spells, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Porto, Manchester United and Tottenham, winning in his career  three English top-flight titles, two Champions Leagues, a LaLiga title, four League Cups along with several other major honors.

In this sense, the Portuguese coach reviewed his career in an interview with his former player John Obi Mikel in the Obi One Podcast, where he picked his ideal starting XI with the players he has ever coached, and surprisingly he picked no players from Manchester United, Tottenham or Roma feature in his team, while there is only room for three previous Real Madrid players.

His lineup was dominated by Chelsea former players

Setting up in a 4-3-3 formation, Mourinho dropped Casillas to name Petr Cech as his goalkeeper and picked three former Chelsea players in his defense, with William Gallas, John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho all featuring. He dropped Sergio Ramos and placed Javier Zanetti to complete his defense, and Claude Makelele and Frank Lampard were selected for his midfield alongside Mesut Ozil, as Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard and the Chelsea icon Didier Drogba were his choices for the attack.
