Liverpool has opened its pre-season with several important news for the club. Jürgen Klopp has finally welcomed the new players, and he will try to improve the midfield by adjusting the new arrivals to the style of play he wants for Liverpool, which could experience some changes as a potential new role for Trent Alexander Arnold or Curtis Jones at the line up.
In this sense, several veteran players are also getting ready to make an impact on the team, especially in the midfield. The arrival of young players for that team’s line could drive veteran players to reduce their minutes in the team and they could see their role in the team affected. Given that, some of them have been linked with a potential exit from the club, which could happen very soon.
That is the case of the Liverpool legend Jordan Henderson, who has been linked with a potential move to the Saudi League. The new Al Ettifaq manager, Steven Gerrard, has been reported to have asked for the Henderson transfer to the club, and his wish could be close to being completed.
According to the British press, Al Ettifaq has received good feedback from the player through the club intermediaries, as Henderson could be open to the idea of a move to the Saudi Pro League and Liverpool too, as the player’s departure could give the Reds good funds to front important signings in the transfer window. Following the British press sources, a transfer fee for Henderson has yet to be discussed between Liverpool and Al Ettifaq, and negotiations could take place in the next few days.
