Liverpool legend Bobby Firmino was one of the stars on the pitch in his first Saudi Pro League’s game with Al Ahli. The Brazilian superstar started the game in the initial Al Ahli’s lineup alongside Edouard Mendy, Ezgjan Alioski, Roger Ibañez, Franck Kessié, Allan Saint-Maximin and Riyad Mahrez, and the performance he gave was not unnoticed.
The ex Liverpool player, who always attacked inside the area, completed a big start with his new team, scoring three goals in his team’s 3-1 victory against Al Hazem in the first game of the new Saudi Pro League season, which could not go better, since he shined with Al Ahli during the whole game.
In the 7th minute Firmino scored his first goal with a headed goal after receiving a pass from the left. The double only took three more minutes to arrive, since the Brazilian superstar scored again at the 10th minute with a pass from the ex Manchester City player Riyad Mahrez, and he would have time to score his third goal at the 53rd minute with a powerful shot.
In this sense, Firmino could have presented his candidacy in the battle for being the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League, in which several important names could appear. The Brazilian superstar would face Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 14 goals in 16 games with Al Nassr last year, figures surpassed by his teammate Talisco with 20 goals, while ex Manchester United player Odion Ighalo scored 19 and Al Buraikan from Al Fateh scored 17, while the top scorer last season was Hamdallah with 21, an Al Ittihad striker who will share the attack with Karim Benzema this season.
