Manchester City’s midfielder Kevin De Bruyne was unexpectedly announced in the last few hours as an addition to the team for the Pep Guardiola’s side in the FIFA Club World Cup celebrated in Saudi Arabia, and the presence of the player would have been profited not only by the club’s managing staff, as some thieves of Belgium would have seen the news as a great opportunity of developing a great crime given that the player’s family went also to Saudi Arabia to join the Belgian superstar in City’s concentration.

According to the Belgian outlet HLN, the Manchester City star’s wife, Michele and their three children wouldn’t have been at the house, which was reportedly trashed by burglars during a break-in-on in the last few hours, in which they used a stepladder to reach the first floor of the property in the player’s house in Bolderberg, Heusden-Zolder.

In this sense, it would be worth remembering that the Belgian 32-year-old player bought his 70-acre property in 2015 and built a villa made of natural white stone, which was completed in February 2019. The house features a swimming pool, jacuzzi and basketball court, which according to these sources, family only use the property sporadically when they visit Belgium, spending most of their time in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

He is one of the top earners in English football

In this respect, it would be important mentioning that De Bruyne, who is one of the Premier League's top earners on around £425,000 per week, flew off to Saudi Arabia for the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday evening after Manchester City's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, and could be ready to make his return with the team in the international competition.
