Liverpool secured their spot in the race for the Premier League title with a 0-2 victory against Sheffield United in Bramall Lane on the fifteenth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season with a notable performance by Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai, who seal the win for the Reds with the second goal of the clash against the Blades.

Jürgen Klopp’s side had the fist clear chance of the game on Joe Gomez, who gave away possession before James McAtee sq his effort saved by Caoimin Kelleher, who replaced again Alisson Becker in the lineup after due to the injury suffered by the Brazilian player in the last few weeks. 

Liverpool finally got control of the game at the 37th minute, when they took the lead after Virgil Van Dijk headed to the net a corner kicked off by Trent Alexander-Arnold. After the break Mohamed Salah was about to extend the lead of the Reds with a volley saved by the rival goalkeeper, and Darwin Nunez had another clear chance in the last few minutes. The Uruguayan striker was found by Trent Alexander-Arnold inside the box, but the rival keeper denied the goal.

However, it finally arrived at the 95th, when Dominik Szboszlai sealed the definitive 0-2 for the Anfield team finishing a great assist by Nunez, which allowed the Reds to get three important points to keep on competing in the race for the Premier League title being placed second in the tournament two points behind Arsenal, placed as the current leader of the competition.
