After a season in the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo could be close to going through his worst moment at Al Nassr. The ex Manchester United player and his team weren’t able to conquer the league, which finally was won by Al Ittihad, disappointing the Portuguese superstar and pushing the Al Nassr squad to do everything to return to win the title and corresponding the huge investment made by the institution in the last year.

In that sense, Cristiano Ronaldo could not be at his best moment at the club, as he arrived to keep competing and despite his numbers having been really good, losing the title left doubts to the player to continue in the Arabian institution. Cristiano scored 14 goals in 16 games played for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, and he would like to improve his numbers by adding new elite players to the team, but something could change everything for Al Nassr according to the latest news in Europe.

According to the main European media, Al Nassr could face a sanction from FIFA in the next few weeks, which would prohibit the club from making national and international additions to the Saudi team during three transfer windows, the first of which is in progress. This determination was made after they detected the non-payment of a debt corresponding to a negotiation that took place in 2018, when Al Nassr signed Ahmed Musa, from Leicester City of the Premier League.

Cristiano future could be uncertain

In this sense, Cristiano could be furious with the institution, as he considers the expansion club plans could be completed, as even the last Al Nassr signing, Marcelo Brozovic, who had been strongly linked with FC Barcelona, could be canceled in case the sanction to Al Nassr is confirmed in the next weeks. Given that, Cristiano could be open even to discuss his future at the club, regarding different alternatives to follow his career out of the institution.
