Manchester City’s academy shined again in an Under 17 World Cup since the appearance of Phil Foden with the English team in India six years ago, and the Citizen’s young talent Joel Ndala put his name under the spotlight with a great performance in the English team’s 2-1 defeat against Brazil in Indonesia.
Ndala, a 17-year-old right footed left winger with certain similarities in his playing style to that of Foden, performed really well against the Brazilian team, as he won a penalty which he himself scored, leaving great skills on the pitch and showing the great quality he treasures.
Alongside the Manchester City’s academy player, the Brazilian striker Estevao from Palmeiras impressed individually as England topped their group despite this defeat by Brazil, following their 10-0 and 2-1 wins over New Caledonia and Iran.
In this sense, it would be expected that Ndala can keep on showing his quality and growing in his level of football in the next few years, and the City fans are really curious of seeing whether the player can reach the performance delivered by Foden in 2017, when he became the player of the tournament award emerging as a top player after England conquered the Under 17 World Cup title.
