Manchester United continues looking for players as Chelsea are not budging on their £65m valuation of Mason Mount, with United seeking for new options after having a £55m bid rejected. A shortlist of four midfielders is believed to exist, and Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag are exploring imaginative alternatives as the summer transfer window is already open and many players will have their contracts expired on the next Saturday July 1st.

One of the players who will be able to negotiate as free agents soon is the 28-year-old French midfielder Adrien Rabiot, with just seven days left on his contract at Juventus, while the Serie A side waiting for the Frenchman’s decision about their renewal offer, which he needs to accept and staying at Juventus or moving to a new club.

According to the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United has appeared once again in Rabiot's way as they had already been interested in the Frenchman as a solution for the Red Devils’ midfield among other names during this transfer window, slowed down by the club's selling process, which could end either with Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim or Britain’s richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe as the club's new owners, which could drastically change the Manchester United budget set for transfers.

Is this Frenchman likely to sign for Man United?

Erik Ten Hag is definitely looking for an improvement of the squad in all its areas with elite European players, to be sharped enough to be able to conquer as many titles as possible next season, especially after having seen how its rival Man City won an historic treble; and Rabiot is said to be assessing the situation and the opportunities he can get on this transfer window as he would like to play in the Champions League next season, which Manchester United can offer him.
