Manchester United could receive good news in the next few weeks, as they could be close to find a potential departure for Harry Maguire, a player who has strongly disappointed at the club, as they paid €87 million in 2019 and he hasn’t responded to the huge expectations created or the level expected by the club and the fans.

In this sense, the arrival of Erik Ten Hag as a new Manchester United coach ended up with Maguire on the bench and playing very few minutes with the team. The English international disappointed everyone at the Europa League quarter finals against Sevilla, and despite having Lisandro Martinez out of the team due to a long injury, Ten Hag decided not to count on Maguire anymore.

Given that situation, the Dutchman even decided that Maguire didn’t wear the captain armband anymore, and requested the club to look for destinations to get rid of the player. In that sense, good news could be received at Old Trafford in the next few weeks, as an unexpected buyer for Maguire seems to have appeared.

The clubs would discuss the transfer soon

According to Sky Sports, West Ham would be interested in signing Harry Maguire, with a big difficulty on the horizon, as Manchester United could be asking at least €50 for the player’s transfer, while the Hammers could be asking for a loan transfer as they wouldn’t be willing to pay such a big transfer fee. The discussions for the player could start soon, and we will see if Maguire is included in the Manchester United USA Tour.
