When it comes to talent, the value placed on him is unlikely to be the fairest for many fans. But for that there are elements that can tell us whether the Premier League is home to the most valuable players in Europe and the world.
Arsenal have been one of the most surprising teams of the football year. Despite their late championship loss to Manchester City, there has been a lot of appreciation for what coach Mikel Arteta's men have done.
The young players have put in spectacular performances, which have come to impress Gareth Southgate and he has been able to take them into the final European qualifiers for the European Championship in Germany in 2024, where they must avenge what happened against Italy three years ago.
One element has stood out above all. He is quick, explosive and has a nose for goal. And for Arteta he is a key player who has to write more history for the Gunners, especially now that they have secured their ticket to the UEFA Champions League, and the value of his services has skyrocketed to insanity.
The CIES Football portal has just published a list of the most valuable players for summer transfers. And Bukayo Saka has been ranked as the best third, behind only Erling Haaland and Vinicius Jr. The cost of a potential move would be around £195m for whoever wants to steal him from Arsenal.
