After the quickly officialization of the Dominik Szoboszlai’s transfer, everybody at Liverpool’s universe seem to be really happy with the addition of a new player to the Red’s midfield, which will be rejuvenated after the arrivals of Alexis McCallister and Szoboszlai himself, this last having already signed his official contract valid until 2028 with a €70 million clause and his medical tests already completed in the last few hours.
However, Jürgen Klopp's plans to rebuild Liverpool's midfield could not satisfy everybody, as some players of the current squad could see their presence in the line up affected. It is worth mentioning that with the presence of McCallister and Szoboszlai Liverpool gets two players who can play whether in the central midfield or on the left wing, with versatility enough to be placed on the right wing if it was necessary.
In this sense, several Liverpool players could see their minutes on the pitch reduced, with the English player Curtis Jones pointed as the potential player who would be relegated to spend more minutes on the Liverpool’s bench.
Currently, Jones comes from having played a decent bunch of minutes for Liverpool, as he has finished the season with 3 goals and an assist in 24 games with the Reds. These minutes could be drastically reduced, especially if Jürgen Klopp continues on signing players for the Liverpool midfield, which seems at this moment as a very likely possibility.
