The 24 year-old Uruguayan striker Darwin Nuñez fronts a new and a challenging season after the farewell of the Liverpool legend Bobby Firmino, the last number 9 in the club and a special star in the team after 111 goals in all competitions. But something could be on the way of Nuñez and Liverpool in the shape of a goal monster, with a huge bid by Liverpool in the transfer market.

Since last season, where Darwin hasn’t been convincing enough to Kopp to be part of the starting eleven, the German manager has been rumored to be seeking the singing of Victor Osimhen, the 24 year-old striker of Napoli, one of the players who could be part of a huge battle between the big European teams in this summer transfer window.

According the Italian journalist Sacha Tavolier, Liverpool are among three English clubs who are looking for the transfer of Osimhen, with Chelsea and Manchester United very interested on his signing, despite Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has already set the price of the player over €150 million, which currently no club have come close to.

Could Liverpool get Osimhen on selling Darwin?

The Napoli striker could be a huge signing for any English club after having scored 26 goals in 32 league games with Napoli, but the competition for him would be hard. The Nigerian comes of winning the Serie A title with Napoli, the price will be high and Liverpool could be forced to sell Darwin first to front the transfer.
