Manchester City fans are still celebrating their UEFA Champions League title win over Inter Milan. Pep Guardiola's side recovered from the Italians' stubborn form to become the new English team to win Europe's top competition.

It was all drama in the first forty-five minutes of the match. Kevin de Bruyne went off injured and the players were overwhelmed by Simone Inzaghi's tidiness. But things finally opened up in the second half with a goal that will stay in the memory of every Citizens fan.

Rodrigo Hernández's shot was so powerful that goalkeeper André Onana could not even react and just stood there as another spectator. It was just one goal and it was enough for City to lift the coveted trophy they had been denied for years, despite the sporting and financial might they have shown.

The former Atletico Madrid player was one of the most active players under Diego Simeone, but in the end he failed to live up to expectations and was rejected by the Spanish club. Guardiola not only gave him a second chance, but demanded he be one of the best players on the pitch.

What will happen to Rodri at City?

After scoring the winning goal against Inter Milan, Rodri has fulfilled a dream by winning the UEFA Champions League. In an interview after the match he also confessed that it was not their best game in the first half, but they did not despair and found the dream goal to be the best on the continent.
