Once again, the summer's soap opera is Kylian Mbappé. The 24-year-old French striker looks set to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer after telling the club's board that he has no intention of renewing his contract beyond 2024 and that he wants to stay with the club next season and leave as a free agent next year.

In view of this, the PSG board has given Mbappé an ultimatum: either he signs a contract extension or he will be sold this summer, since according to the Parisian club's president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, they have no intention of letting Mbappé leave the team for free after the million-dollar investment they have made in him. Given this, several clubs around the world have begun to dream about the possibility of bringing the French star to their squads.

However, the great favorite to sign Mbappé is Real Madrid, especially now that with the statements of PSG the price of Kylian would have dropped from 250 to 200 million euros, an amount that the Spanish club was already willing to pay a year ago to sign him. Although the possibility of Liverpool showing interest in Mbappé was also mentioned, however that possibility is very remote.

Despite that, all is not lost for Liverpool, as the possible arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid could bring benefits to the Reds. During the current transfer window, the priority for Jürgen Klopp has been to sign midfielders and on several occasions there have been rumors about the alleged interest he would have in some players from the Spanish team.

Mbappé's arrival would provoke the departure of someone at Real Madrid

According to Juan Ignacio Ochoa, deputy director of Spanish newspaper MARCA, Real Madrid would sell Federico Valverde or Aurelien Tchouameni this summer in order to pay for the Kylian Mbappé deal. Thus, Klopp's dream of signing one of these two midfielders could become a reality.
