Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta suffered another referee decision in the last game of the Gunners against Brighton in the Emirates Stadium on the seventeenth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League, as the Spanish coach received a yellow card during the game against the Seagulls, which was strongly criticized by Arsenal fans on the social media.
The Spanish manager, who is currently under the spotlight after having been dropped from sanction due to his protests during Arsenal's away clash against Newcastle some months ago, was again subject of controversy during the game against Brighton, as got a new card due to a surprising reason.
The manager, who was coaching his team from the bench, went to his managerial box to protest by raising his hands to claim for a foul by Kaoru Mitoma on one of his players, and he quickly was sent to the bench by the referee Tim Robinson after showing him the yellow card, which could have consequences for the coach in the next few weeks.
In this sense, it would be worth remembering that the coach was criticized for going out of his box during the game against Luton Town to celebrate a late goal scored by Declan Rice that gave the Gunners the victory against the Hatters, and now he would be suffering a new warning by a referee, which seems more and more habitual in the season for the Spanish coach.
