The Hungarian player Dominik Szoboszlai finally got presented with Liverpool after having already completed the medical tests with the club in the last few hours. The player, who signed a five-year contract, arrived at Anfield in exchange of the €70 million set in his release clause with RB Leipzig, where the player scored 10 goals in 46 games played last season, giving 13 assists.
The 22-year-old Hungarian player surprised everybody among the Liverpool fans, as he decided to take the Liverpool number eight shirt, very famous at Anfield as it was worn by the Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. Asked about his choice, the player’s reasons started to conquer the Liverpool fans beginning an incredible love for the player, which has continued growing as the player has enjoyed as a child meeting his new home, Anfield Road.
Szoboszlai revealed he has a tattoo written in Hungarian and inspired by the Liverpool legend Steve Gerrard which reads: “Talent is a blessing from God, but without incredible will and humility, it is worthless”. This way the new Liverpool man started to confess his love for the Anfield team. Following the departure of Naby Keita this summer, the iconic Gerrard number 8 shirt was available and Szoboszlai immediately asked for it.
Szoboszlai couldn't avoid smiling when he met Anfield at his presentation with Liverpool. Being asked about his thoughts after learning of Liverpool’s interest, Szoboszlai expressed to have been very happy as everything was perfect for him. The player considers Liverpool a logical next step in his career and is already looking forward to working with Jürgen Klopp, whom he has said to consider one of the best coaches in the world. The relationship between Szoboszlai is already perfect, the player is already crazy about Liverpool and Liverpool fans are already crazy with him.
