Manchester United’s coach Erik Ten hag showed his happiness after his team defeated Nottingham Forest in Old Trafford in a tough game where Manchester United struggled to finally get a very important 3-2 victory on the third day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season.

With the result, the Red Devils treasure six points in three games played this season despite having been highly criticized during all these weeks. However, Erik Ten Hag would be still confident to get the best version of the team soon and the Dutchman praised his players at the end of the game against Nottingham.

According to the Dutchman, his players had a horrible start of the game, and he is confident they can improve in the next few weeks.  "With all respect to Forest, we can’t allow easy goals. They were easy give-aways. It’s crazy, but sometimes games go like this. As I said, we stayed calm", explained Ten Hag.

The Dutchman was happy with the character shown by the team

In this sense, the Dutch manager praised his players for reacting, since they would have shown the character he requires to give the next step in his project at the club. "Horror beginning, but the character of the team was brilliant. We have the personality. In certain moments we can definitely improve, but in general this team has the character to bounce back all the time.  We stuck to our belief, stuck to our plan, played some good football and scored three good goals. It was a great comeback", said Ten Hag
