The Manchester United 32 year-old goalkeeper David De Gea hasn’t accept the club’s proposal to continue being a Red Devil, as the Mancunian institution wants him in the squad but doesn’t guarantee him the role he has had for many years as the highest-paid goalkeeper in the Premier League and his place at the starting eleven of the team.

During initial period of negotiation, the contacts between the player and the institution went well, but everything changed when the club changed the terms of the role of the keeper, not necessarily seen like the first option by the coach Erik Ten Hag. Since that moment, David De Gea has been opened to consider other options, and the club too.

The Spanish keeper turned down a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia in early June to settle the formalities of a new contract at Old Trafford, but he is more likely than ever to leave United at the end of the month, while United has is actively seeking the goalkeepers market during the conversations with De Gea, opening talks with Porto’s Diogo Costa and Brendford’s David Raya among other targets.

Ten Hag’s lack of confidence in De Gea after the disappointing elimination of the Red Devils from the Uefa Europa League in April against Sevilla FC, has made the Dutch coach to turn to look to Andre Onana, who is part of the Champions League semi finalist Inter Milan and has the total confidence of Ten Hag, who coached him at Ajax.

In the last few days, Manchester United have contacted Inter and have been told a total fee of € 60 would be necessary to get the 26-year-old Cameroon goalkeeper, price which the Mancunian club would be willing to pay especially, if De Gea doesn’t give an answer about his intentions with the club soon.
