Erik Ten Hag could receive good news in the next few hours according to the British press. Since last month, the Dutchman had requested a new goalkeeper for his project and had identified Andre Onana from Inter Milan as the player to sign, as Ten Hag knows Onana very well since he coached the Cameroonian goalkeeper at Ajax.
Onana responds to everything that Ten Hag demands from a goalkeeper. The Cameroonian is really consistent with the ball in his feet, and has a great accuracy in long or short passes, which could grant Ten Hag to count on a goalkeeper who is able to lead the ball possession from the goal, helping his teammates to build possession and break low blocks of pressure to face the best teams in the Premier League.
In this sense, Manchester United have been trying to complete the Onana's signing all this month, and finally could give good news to their coach. According to the English journal The Athletic, Manchester United is set to agree personal terms with Inter Milan's goakeeper Andre Onana in the next few hours, and the transfer fee for the player is very close to being finalized.
As reported by The Athletic, Andre Onana is expected to sign a five-year deal and fly with Manchester United to New York next week to start the USA Tour with the team. There, the Red Devils will face Arsenal next July 22 to keep on preparing a challenging new season for Manchester United.
