Liverpool and their coach Jürgen Klopp continue looking for prospects who can improve the squad and make a real impact on the team and in the Premier League next season. The German coach knows the fight with the other teams in the Premier League Big 7 will be tough, specially against Manchester City, revealed this season as a very difficult rival with an almost infallible weapon scoring goals: Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker is a big menace and the other teams have already realized they will need a huge scorer to avoid Manchester City’s hegemony in the Premier League.

This is the main reason why Jürgen Klopp is looking for a new leading striker who can offer a huge impact in the team’s offensive area, and the German coach has put his eyes on the Napoli 24-year-old striker Victor Osimhen, not not having any doubt that his qualities would fit perfectly in the style of play of the Anfield’s team.

According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello sport, Liverpool’s coach is said to appreciate the skills the striker has showed at Napoli, having performed an incredible season this campaign with 31 goals and 5 assist in 39 games played for Napoli, numbers which could rivalize with the 52 goals in 53 games of Erling Haaland.

Could Liverpool be able to get the player?

As expected, Napoli would ask a big amount in exchange of one of their best players in the team. The Italian club’s owner, the cinema producer Aurelio De Laurentiis, would be asking for €180 million (£150m) in exchange of the services of Victor Osimhen, what would suppose a huge transfer for Liverpool to strongly face the race for the Premier League and a sensational come back to the Liverpool days of dominance in Europe
