After having spent a considerable amount of money in the arrivals of Alexis McCallister and Dominik Szoboszlai, Jürgen Klopp is looking for some cheaper opportunities in the transfer market to complete the team and adding squad depth for the next season, as Liverpool will be expected to be back to the top of the Premier League and leading the race to win the Europa League.
In this sense, the German coach could already have put his eyes on players to rejuvenate the team and give versatility to his squad. Klopp considers the team’s midfield needs new men to be developed in the next few years and some wonderkids could join Liverpool’s project soon.
That idea could also be applied to the team’s defense, where Klopp is expected to sign some players to add depth and variants to that part of the squad. The German coach has the main goal of adding another big man to replace Virgil Van Dijk and he could already have some big candidates who fit that profile. That is the case of the The 23-year-old Dutch player Perr Schuurs from Torino.
According to reports that emerged over the last couple of days in the British media, Jurgen Klopp will look to sign Schuurs 'at any cost' this summer. The
player is a central defender who completed 43 games played last season and is valued at at least €25 million, an affordable price to pay for a promising player whom Klopp would like to develop during the next few years to make him a world class defender.
