Liverpool could be plotting their next signing for the next season. After having completed the arrivals of Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szobozslai, the Red’s coach, Jürgen Klopp, would have insisted on signing a defensive midfielder in the last few days, and he could have found a big candidate for a low price recently.

The German coach is looking for a replacement to fill the position of Fabinho, who has recently been sold to Al Ittihad for an amount around €45 million, and he could have identified a player with similar characteristics who play in London and could play a key role in Liverpool to win ball possession a the team’s midfield.

We talk about the Crystal Palace player Cheick Doucoure, who was voted Player of the Season at the Eagles last campaign. The 23-year-old Mali international player is strong in the tackle, having had an average of  2.3 per game last season, which would’ve put him second in Liverpool’s squad, just behind Thiago with 2.4.

The player would be cheaper than Romeo Lavia

In addition, Doucure would be cheaper than Romeo Lavia from Southampton, who is another target identified to replace Fabinho. Lavia is valued at €50 million, while Liverpool could sign Doucure for only €35 million, a big reason to consider this young player, who according to the football experts could be a more viable and more experienced alternative to Lavia, since Doucoure is already acclimated to the league to make an immediate impact in the Liverpool’s midfield.
