Mohamed Salah is expected to be a key player in the next season with Liverpool. The Egyptian player is working really hard to get ready for the beginning of the competition after having felt disappointed with the team’s performance last season, where Liverpool wasn’t able to qualify for Champions League despite a great end of the season.

The Egyptian player is also expected to be one of the leaders of the team, as important players like James Milner exit from the club and the leadership role in the team will be needed, specially to grant the quick adaptation of new arrivals such as McCallister or Szoboszslai.

In this sense, Liverpool could be facing a low blow from the Egyptian Football Association in the next few days,  as they have been reported to want Mohamed Salah to miss the start of Liverpool's 2024/25 season in order to compete for his country in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which could strongly affect Liverpool as they wouldn't be able to count on a key player in the team.

The forward line could be forced to show its growth

The debate around a possible Salah absence in the team at the beginning of the Premier League has quickly started among the Liverpool fans. Not having Salah in the attack will mean that the Liverpool forward line should step up to fill the Egyptian role in the team, which anyways has already been asked to players like Darwin Nuñez, Diaz or Gakpo. In this sense,
they are expected to develop their real potential in the team, with Nuñez in the spotlight as an expensive player who could have his chance to stop the criticism around him.
