Chelseas' Premier League season is quite complicated at the moment. Mauricio Pochettino's team stands in 14th place of the English Championship and are hoping to climb in today's match against Bournemouth. With this said the London-based team hasn't been comfortable at all on the field. Boehly's team have shown poor performances in their recent matches. Despite their new signings, there hasn't been a significant improvement in their performance, so they are aiming for a victory to secure all three points.
In their previous match against Nottingham Forest, defensive weaknesses became evident, leading the Argentine manager to consider positional rotations going forward. Notably, Enzo Fernandez, who despite representing Argentina in the FIFA international break, is now available to play for his team, disregarding the continent-to-continent travel he undertook.
On another note, the fans are not entirely pleased with Chelsea's board. This because even when te team has spend over £200 million in just this season, the team hasn't achieved the desired results, nor has it seen the expected performance from some players. Take, for instance, the case of Ukrainian player Mijailo Mudryk, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Shakhtar for a fee of £86 million. Mudryk hasn't performed at his best since joining the club. Last season, an unnoticed Joao Felix accompanied him in the Blue's offense, and this duo failed to produce results.
Chelsea's lack of efficiency in front of the goal has been frustrating for some of their players as shown by some of them during the last fixutres. During today's match against The Cherries, Mudryk became frustrated and made an error that cost his team dearly. However, it's worth noting that in the first half alone, the 22-year-old player displayed impressive statistics.
According to official statistics, he was the player who created the most opportunities, made more tackles, among other things. Undoubtedly, he's a player worth giving a chance to prove his worth.
