The Kylian Mbappe saga is back with a new episode. The French superstar has been one of the main topics in the last PSG conference, where the French club introduced its new coach, Luis Enrique Martinez. Before the presentation, the PSG owner Nasser Al Khelaifi gave a press conference where he answered all the media questions, among which there were many directed to talk about the potential Mbappe exit from the club.

In this sense, Al Khelaifi took the chance to send a strong message to Liverpool and all the teams interested in Mbappe.  “We do NOT want him to leave for free in 2024”, remarked Al-Khelaïfi. The PSG boss has strongly expressed the club position about the matter saying “ if Kylian wants to stay, we want him to stay. But he needs to sign a new contract. We don’t want to lose the best player in the world for free, it’s impossible”.

The Al Khelaifi words come to confirm that the potential Mbappe signing for Liverpool would represent a huge investment for the Anfield team. According to the French media, PSG would do everything to avoid the player exit from the club, but if he has to be sold, the price to pay would be higher than €200 million.

PSG owners could solve the matter soon

Kylian Mbappe currently has one year left in his contract with PSG, whose owners could have given an ultimatum to the player: either signing his renewal before August or being sold. Mbappe hasn’t signed anything at the moment, but the pressure to the player will increase in the next few weeks, as PSG wants to have the matter solved before the French league starts.
