Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has started the preseason with the Blues with the main goal of taking the club back to lead the Premier League as it used to do some years ago. For that reason, the Argentine manager has in mind some signings that could improve the level of the squad, which still is full of players considered as transferable.

In this sense, the Argentine manager has already set a selling list with players who could be sold or be part of some deals for the reinforcements he is asking for. With Kai Havertz, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, or Edouard Mendy already out of the club, Pochettino still has Lukaku as a potential departure in the squad.

The 30-year-old Belgian player hasn’t responded to the expectations generated at the club, who paid 115 million for him in 2021. However, he could help Chelsea to bring a player requested by Pochettino. In this sense, according to the Italian journal La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea has proposed to Juventus a swap deal involving Lukaku and Dusan Vlahovic, a player whom Pochettino has already requested for the Blues.

Pochettino has already a plan for the player

Dusan Vlahovic is a top target for Mauricio Pochettino, as the Argentine manager wants a center striker to lead the Chelsea’s attack next season. The qualities of the Serbian player are really appreciated by Pochettino, who sees in the player a big man able to hold the ball and assists his teammates in quick transitions with the Chelsea wingers. According to La Gazzetta sources, the Serbian player would be happy to play for Chelsea, while Juventus must decide whether they want Lukaku in their team or not.
