Last Premier League season turned into a sensational fight to conquer the title between Manchester City and Arsenal, who were on the top of the league for most of the weeks of the competition but went down on the table after failing in some crucial games such as Liverpool’s or Manchester City’s.

However, the willingness of making history in England seems not to have disappeared for the Gunners. After impressing the football fans with the return of the stylish Arsenal passing game and the quality of a group of players who were able to entertain while winning an incredible number of games, the Gunners are one of the most active teams in the transfer market.

Mikel Arteta is determined to pull the trigger on major deals and after signing Kai Havertz from Chelsea for a fee of £65 million, Arsenal has completed the most expensive transfer this summer, by signing the English player Declan Rice from West Ham for €105 million and defeating Manchester City in the race to buy the player.

Is Arsenal able to win the title?

The Declan Rice transfer opens many possibilities for Arsenal, who not only has already showed to be able to beat Manchester City in a transfer race, but also has assured a midfielder able to defend but also to empower the Arsenal attack, which will count again with world class players like Odegaard, Saka, Havertz, or Gabriel Jesus. Definitely the Manchester City hegemony has found, at least, a real contender.
