Manchester United have started their pre-season with the arrival of Mason Mount, who will be the new Red Devils number 7 and is prepared to lead the Erik Ten Hag project at the club next season. The Dutchman is still waiting for more reinforcements, who could be close to arriving in the next few weeks, with Andre Onana from Inter and Rasmus Højlund as the most likely players to arrive to the team.

In this sense, Manchester United are having some trouble in the negotiations with potential new players, as the club’s budget is limited at the moment because the institution hasn’t had the chance to sell any player from the Ten Hag selling list. Among these transferable players, we can find players such as Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, Harry Maguire or Fred, who haven’t made a decision or accepted any offer for the next season.

However, something could change in the next few days, as one of the men on the list, the Brazilian midfielder Fred has already made a decision which could change his future at Manchester United. The Brazilian player has already received offers from the Saudi Pro League and some teams in England, with Fulham as the most interested team in signing him for the next season.

The player’s departure could be closer

According to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fred has picked new agents in the last few hours to make important decisions about the next steps to follow in his career. Following the Romano sources, Fred would have chosen to be represented by the same group as the Arsenal player Gabriel Jesus, with the main goal of looking for an opportunity outside Manchester United. According to Romano, the player understands that he should have more minutes of play, and his departure from United could be closer than ever.
