Manchester United academy is famous because of its great ability to build young stars. However, not all of them are consistent enough to stay in the team, and have to look for opportunities somewhere else, leaving some important memories in the fans, who can see how those players’ careers usually go down.

This is the case of Jesse Lingard, who after several adventures at the Championship, arrived to the first Manchester United team and earned fame with the English national team. However, he lost importance in the team despite having completed some iconic moments in his career as a Red Devil.

Lingard made his first goal with United in November 2015, with a goal against West Bromwich Albion, and he became a hero in the 2016 FA Cup final with a winning goal against Crystal Palace at the 110th minute of the game. The following season he got another title for United in the Community Shield against Leicester, so he did it again in the EFL Cup final against Southampton in 2017.

He left the club in the 2020/21 campaign, to sign for West Ham, where he completed a wonderful season, becoming one of the most in-form players in the league, scoring nine goals and giving four assists in just 10 games with the Hammers. After that, he signed for Nottingham Forest in 2022, his last team until his contract expired at the end of the season.

Lingard is now a free agent after completing only two goals in 20 games played with Nottingham Forest last season, and according to the British media, he is currently working out to get ready for his new challenge. As reported by the English press, his agents are offering the player in the Saudi Pro League, as Lingard considers that his fame as a Manchester United player can still help him to get an important contract at Saudi football
