A former Liverpool player surprised these days after being announced as the new signing of the non-league club Warrington Town, surprising the fans after having start his career as a promising star destined to develop a great level in his career and playing for some of the best teams in England.
However, the path of the career of this player has been really different to what everyone could have expected, as after he spent two seasons without playing professional football, having completed trials with Portsmouth, Sheffield United, Birmingham City and the Polish side Warta Poznan, now being 30 years old joined the National League North team Warrington Town.
We talk about the former Liverpool player and ex England U21 captain Andre Wisdom, who turned out 22 times for the Reds in 2012 and 2013 under Brendan Rodgers’ management at Liverpool after having blossomed from the Reds’ academy. Since that time, he played for clubs in England and abroad, being part of Derby County, West Bromwich Albion, Norwich City and Red Salzburg.
In this respect, it is worth mentioning that in his most recent professional football club, Derby County, he spent four seasons in the Championship in two spells at the institution, where he had to recover in hospital from a stabbing in the summer of 2020 to play a key role in their 2020/21 season, when they stayed up by one point, admitting that he would not have been the same in his football career since that incident happened.
