After having had several talks about the Mason Mount’s future, Chelsea and Manchester United could arrive this week to a final solution to put an end to this incredible saga which has covered almost all the month of June, as United have been looking to sign the English midfielder but they have seen several bids rejected by the Blues.

The last United’s offer was worth £55 million and it was rejected with a counter offer of £58 million + £7 million in add-ons by Chelsea. In addition, the club of London had offered The Red Devils have a personal meeting to solve the situation and in the last few hours it appears to be the next step in this long negotiation.

Mount is widely expected to leave Stamford Bridge this season after falling out of favor with the hierarchy and with the Chelsea fans very angry with him because this negotiation with a big rival like Manchester United. The 24-year-old has a year left on his contract with Chelsea, and it makes sense for the Blues to cash in on him while they still can, especially after the relations between the player and the fans seem broken.

Would both teams reach an agreement?

According to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, both Chelsea and Manchester United are preparing for direct contact this week to make a final decision on the Mount transfer. Following the Italian journalist sources, these club talks will take place in the next 24 to 48 hours to determine how to proceed, and United's £55 million offer still stands at this moment.
