Chelsea’s new coach Mauricio Pochettino could receive good news in the next few days. The Argentine coach has started to work with his squad and his first decision over transfers could be close to being done as Chelsea is getting prepared to impact the transfer market window granting the arrival of another South American jewel to the team.
After having signed Enzo Fernandez during the last season, Chelsea has shown his taste at signing South American players by completing the arrival of the Brazilian player Angelo Gabriel from Santos in this transfer window..
However, the next South American player arriving to Chelsea is a player who has already shown his abilities at the Premier League. We talk about Moises Caicedo, from Brighton; a player who could be able to build a massive couple in Chelsea’s midfield with Enzo Fernandez. In this sense, the Blues have already opened talks with Brighton to get the player, despite there being a lot of concurrency in the race to sign him.
Moises Caicedo has been targeted by Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool this summer, and Brighton has valued him at £90M, a high price which Chelsea could be looking to reduce. According to the Ecuadorian press, Chelsea is ready to offer £75 million for the player, plus £10 million on bonuses, giving the chance to Brighton to get £85 million, an amount which could convince the Seagulls to let the player exit to Stamford Bridge.
