Jürgen Klopp has already started to rebuild and rejuvenate his team’s midfield with the signings of Alexis McCallister and Dominik Szoboszlai, but he still has some job to do. The German coach has designed a targets list with several names on it, and the names who follow are Romeo Lavia, Gabri Veiga and Kephren Thuram.

Among them, and according to the British media, Liverpool has already started talks with Romeo Lavia valued at £40 million by Southampton. Several teams are in the race for the player, who has already been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

The same race could have been joined by Liverpool in the case of Moises Caicedo, a player who fascinates the Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp. However, the price of the player doesn’t fit with the Liverpool financial possibilities, which don’t allow to sign him. Brighton is asking at least €100 million for the player, which is completely out of Liverpool possibilities.

Liverpool is focused on another potential signing

With Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United willing to sign Caicedo, Liverpool could take advantage to make a quick move for Romeo Lavia before its rivals in the next few days. The 19-year-old Belgian player fits the profile of strong midfielder Klopp wants for his team and his price would be lower than Caicedo, who despite fascinating the German coach, won’t arrive to Anfield as his transfer is not affordable for Liverpool.
